HAND-MADE ARTISAN ETCHED GLASS FROM CZECHIA
Vícevrstevné skleněné objekty jsou vytvořeny jedinečnou technikou hlubokého leptu. Toto umělecky, materiálně i časově náročná technika zpracování skla je unikátní i v evropském měřítku. Autor se jí naučil od svého strýce, akademického malíře Jana Gajdoše. Lepty kombinované s mramorem, dřevem či kovem, představují krajiny nebo výjevy, které se díky vlastnostem hlubokého leptu ocitají mimo tradiční trojrozměrnost a rozptylem světla přecházejí do čtvrté dimense – času. Sklo a světelné paprsky vytvářejí vždy novou formu inscenace. Křehkost skla, jeho hra světel a barev stojí v komplementárním kontrastu k masivu dřeva, neproniknutelnosti kamene nebo tvrdosti kovu. Individuální, odlišně strukturované a podmíněné vrstvy se spojují v jedinečné vyobrazení, které může být svými průniky a působením plně chápáno jako analogie a metafora lidského nitra, přírody či kosmu. Tyto „obrazy ducha“ tak představují fragmentární celek světa, člověka a jeho chápání sebe sama. Mnohé objekty jsou kombinovány se světelnými zdroji, což dává vyniknout jednotlivým motivům či plochám. Díla tím také získávají zvláštní vlastnosti, které umožňují jejich uplatnění v životním prostoru člověka. Dokonalým zvládnutím plochy a prostoru při současném zdůraznění detailu a příběhu se tudíž stávají i výrazným prvkem interiérového designu. Umělecký objekt tak nabývá i praktického funkčního využití.
Multi-layered glass pieces are created with the technique of hand-made deep-etched glass. This technique is unique on a European scale as it is both materially and technically embracing and time-consuming. The artist learned this craft from his uncle, the academic painter Jan Gajdoš, who devoted to it over 30 years of his professional career. Doležal uses a combination of apparent opposites - solid and impenetrable stone, wood, metal versus transparent and fragile glass. His glass sculptures interact with light, create tension and deliver movement. These multilayered pieces represent landscapes and scenes that leave traditional three-dimensionality and pass through light scattering to the fourth dimension - time. The individual, differently structured and conditioned layers are combined in a unique representation that can be fully understood as an analogy and metaphor of the human heart. These "landscapes of the mind" represent a fragmentary totality of the world, of man and his understanding of himself. Many of these pieces are combined with light sources, which make individual motifs or surfaces stand out. The works also acquire special features that enable them to be displayed in any space. Based on perfect handling of plane and space, while emphasizing detail and storyline, the objects also become a distinctive feature of interior design. This way, the artistic object enables practical functional use.
